Patient Participation Group
The Patient Participation Groups (PPG) objective is to maintain good relations with the medical professionals in our surgery. Meeting every 3 months, the group acts as a means of providing feedback to the surgery about services, seeking improvement where necessary, whilst also aiming to improve the general well being of the patients. The intention is to represent a cross-section of age groups, skills and experiences and ultimately be representative of our patient population.
We are looking for new members to join, therefore if you are interested, please fill in the form and we will be in touch.
Aims of the PPG
- To give patients, Practice staff, including a Medical Practitioner and the Practice Manager the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual relevance and interest to their Practice.
- To act as a representative group that can be called upon to input, respond to and influence the local provision of Health and Social Care.
- To provide the means for patients to make positive suggestions about the Practice and therefore their own current and future healthcare.
- To encourage health- and wellbeing-based activities for patients as part of the East Twickenham Primary Care Network consisting of 7 other local practices.
- To provide a means for the Practice staff including a Medical Practitioner, and the Practice Manager to discuss and explain the issues involved in the running of a general Medical Practice.
- To be an advocate for the Practice and encourage effective two-way communication within the community.
